Maikaze, die Geisha im Amakaze hat uns angeboten, dass wir für 1000 Mon ihre Zeit erwerben können und diese dafür nehmen können, um Sayo das Lesen und Schreiben bei zu bringen. Um diese 1000 Mon bezahlen zu können, müssen wir allerdings Aufträge erfüllen, damit wir uns das benötigte Geld verdienen können. Dabei erzählt uns Danpachi auch, dass wir Maikaze nur zu einer bestimmten Zeit sprechen können und wir die restliche Zeit daher auch dafür nutzen können, das benötigte Geld zu erhalten. Dabei scheint es in dieser Stadt eine Gruppe an Menschen zu geben, die versuchen Babys zu entführen und Eltern damit zu erpressen. Trotz Bezahlung scheinen diese die Kinder auch nicht zurück zu bringen, sondern sie geben nur mysteriöse Hinweise, wo man es finden kann, wofür man allerdings jemanden sucht, der diese Hinweise enträtseln kann. Sind wir genau die richtige Person für so etwas oder sollten wir uns vielleicht doch nach einer anderen Verdienstmöglichkeit umsehen?
