In this edition: The city of Bonn in Northrhein Westfalia is the birthplace of composer Ludwig van Beethoven and honours him with an annual festival. <br />Walter van Bierendonck Walter van Bierendonck is a celebrated fashion designer and artist. He's actually the maverick of the Belgium fashion scene and famous for his spectacular fashion shows in Paris back in the 1990s.<br />There's been lots of events going on in Mannheim this year as this is where Carl Benz patented the first car 125 years ago.<br />Design City Helsinki Finnish design has an international reputation, that's why the annual Design Week in Helsinki is a meeting place for interested parties from around the globe. Indeed the international association of industrial designers has named Helsinki as Design capital of the world 2012. <br />Recent research indicates that the car is being challenged as the number one status symbol. Clothes, smartphones and exclusive holidays are the challengers, carmakers are responding.
